Student Employment assists students and employers in meeting temporary, seasonal, and part-time employment needs. A variety of employers use these services to obtain part-time employees – from large corporations to individuals needing help babysitting and yard work. IF you usually you must drive 800 miles or more monthly along heavily trafficked routes in your daily life, you may want to explore the companies that offer car wraps.

The idea is fairly simple. The number of big billboards along the busiest freeways is limited and in some places forbidden . Some Advertisers, then put ads on the outside of cars to reach those drivers. The difficulty is that purchasing an huge number of cars for an advertising campaign can be very expensive, so a solution was hit upon.

Instead of buying their own cars, companies will sometimes put car-length ads on private party cars. To compensate your for letting a company “wrap” your car with their ads, they will write you a monthly check. The check can be as high as $400 a month for a complete car wrap and a bit less for a partial car wrap or a window wrap.

An alternative that some of these companies will give you in place of car wraps is to provide you with a free auto with ads already on it. You usually don’t get checks in this deal or get to choose the type of car provided, but you do receive free use of the car for the period of the campaign.

So is there a catch?

The principal drawback is there are many more drivers wanting cars than advertising campaigns available. And, if you don’t already drive many miles or live in a densely populated area (though large college campuses are ideal location) where the advertisement will be seen by the specific audience the advertisers want, your chance of being chosen is low.

Usually, the companies require you to drive at least 800 miles a month. Not driving enough miles will void the contract and most companies use (GPS) systems built into the in the auto to track the miles and locations you drive each month.

Not unexpectedly, most companies require you to be at least 18, have an excellent, driving record. Plus YOU must buy your own insurance. Any moving violation will in most cases prohibit you from being considered.

You might think that, given that since many of the advertisers are for youth-oriented products like energy drinks, it would be okay if you just PARKED the car near your dorm. Nope. You’ve got to keep the car moving, and as student life usually incolves a lot of staying in close to campus, this may not be the ideal income opportunity for a student.

Learn How to Become a Model

Well it is that time of year when school is beginning to let out and many girls and guys look for Summer Modeling Work. There are some modeling jobs to be had in the Summer months but what most girls and guys who want to be models don’t know is that modeling is a full time commitment. You can do part time modeling after school or on school breaks but there has to be a very real commitment on the models part to succeed in this industry. It takes a lot of hard work and there is much competition for the modeling assignments.

So five key points that everyone who wants to become a model should understand:

1) To work in the modeling field you must have representation by a legit modeling or talent agency. To begin to find an agency to represent you look for local modeling or talent agency. Do your research and make sure that they are who they say they are and are a legitimate agency. We don’t recommend freelance modeling as it is not the safest way to go and will take you much longer to find a place for yourself in the industry. Always think Safety first

2) The first thing you need to do is access what type of modeling is right for you and where best will you fit in to get an agency and modeling bookings. Really be honest with yourself or you could spend a lot of time and energy going in the wrong direction. If you are under 5’8 then most fashion modeling will not be for you unless in specialized fields. If you don’t like to be on stage or acting then commercial modeling may not be the right place for you to center your energies. Test yourself with a family member or friend to see if you like being in front of the camera. Look though as many fashion magazines as you can to get a feel for what modeling work could be like. Study the industry, learn all that you can.

3) There are many different types of modeling, fashion modeling, commercial modeling, junior modeling, child modeling, plus size modeling and male models. There are still other fields as petite models and parts models. Lean all the different opportunities that are in the industry for you and what your look, height, age, size fits best.

4) Once you find agencies in your local area to submit to then you can contact them either via their web sites, email address or mail in photos to them. Many agencies have how to submit to new faces on their web sites. You can always mail your photos to the new faces divisions as well.

5) What you need to send several photographs:

* 1 or 2 clean headshots with no makeup and hair off your face

* 1 or 2 good body shots full length or three quarter in tee shirt and shorts or comparable

Tips:

Make sure that your photos are up to date and no one else is in your photos with you. Make sure one of the shots you submit is a good smile especially if you are looking to do commercial work. Remember that if any agency does not take you on as one of their models there could be many reasons one of them being that they may already represent several girls or guys with your look. So if modeling is what you want to do then try other agencies. Some models try several times before they are accepted to an agency.

A second issue to consider is that these ‘shows’ can be taped by viewers on the other end, so your performance could be out there, eternally, on the Internet.

There’s nothing like the adult entertainment industry to raise cash, and being a webcam model offers the advantage of being completely anonymous and bendable to your schedule.  But do plenty of research before you leap in.  It might not be worth, in the long run, the damage to your self worth just to pay some tuition bills!
